1. Tropics - The system forming in the Gulf should become Debby by the end of the day Sunday. The question becomes, where will Debby go once it develops? Right now, I think the path will take it toward Florida late Monday or Monday, crossing Florida as a tropical storm. Once it crosses Florida, it will head out into the Atlantic. The good news is that Florida will see much-needed rain from Debby, but hopefully no damage.
2. Severe storms will hit the I-95 corridor today. I expect to see storms with wind gusts 40-70 mph locally. That means many reports of wind damage as the storms move on through. Good news, the heat wave will break this weekend and next week will be 20 degrees cooler.
