Earthquake Rattles Southwest China

The United States Geological Survey says that a magnitude 5.5 earthquake on the Richter Scale struck 32 miles from Dali City in the Yunnan province of southwest China at a depth of 20 miles.
According to the Xinhua News Agency, approximately 700 homes collapsed while over 2,500 sustained damage.
More than 20 people were injured, including 3 seriously.
The earthquake occurred at 1:41 p.m. Sunday afternoon, local time.
