April 08, 2014; 2:11 AM

After beneficial rains to start April, a warm, dry spell will continue for the San Francisco area.

Over the first five days of April, San Francisco picked up 1.20 inches of rain, slightly less than the average rainfall of 1.29 inches they receive during the entire month of April.

Warm weather will continue into Tuesday and Wednesday as the San Francisco Giants open a homestand against the Arizona Diamondbacks at AT&T Park.

Tuesday looks to be the warmer of the two days, climbing into the mid-70s.

Temperatures will drop back into the mid- to upper 60s on Thursday through Saturday but conditions will remain dry.

The next chance for some rain is possible at mid-month, but it looks to be very dry for the rest of the month in the Bay Area.
