UK to Remain Stormy Next Week
May 06, 2012; 6:30 AM
The stormy weather pattern looks to continue across the United Kingdom early next week.
Recent bouts of heavy rain across the United Kingdom have left many rivers swollen throughout England. These recent bouts of heavy rain followed one of the wettest April's on record across the United Kingdom.
The stormy weather will continue early next week as the jet stream continues to send storm after storm into Western Europe.

One storm will move through the United Kingdom and Ireland Monday and Monday night, producing widespread bouts of rain. While the rain won't be particularly heavy, localized flooding can still result as rivers and streams remain high.
A second storm will head toward northern France or southern England for Tuesday. This storm will send bouts of mainly light to occasionally moderate rainfall across Wales and England.
Residences across the UK could sure use a break from the rain. According to data available to AccuWeather.com, rainfall was 2 to 3 times above normal throughout the UK and Ireland for the month of April.
The end of the week may provide a brief break from the wet weather, though spotty showers may still linger, especially across Scotland. More stormy weather may return to the UK next weekend.
