Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

A Pacific frontal system will move across the South Coast tonight and Tuesday, spreading rain at times heavy to most parts of the region. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm are expected over North Shore - including West Vancouver and North Vancouver, and Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge by Tuesday afternoon. The rain will ease Tuesday evening as the system weakens.


Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
