Rainfall amounts up to 75 mm expected through Friday night.

A Pacific low pressure system slowly approaching Vancouver Island will continue to bring rain at times heavy to the region tonight through Friday night. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 75 mm are expected from this system. The rain will ease on Saturday as the low moves inland.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.

Rain at times heavy tonight and Friday.

The first of a pair of Pacific disturbances continues to bring rain across the south coast of BC tonight. Rainfall amounts near 30 mm are expected from this disturbance by Friday morning. A slight break in the rain is expected Friday morning before the second system brings about another 30 mm of rain by Saturday morning.

The highest rainfall amounts are expected over the North Shore of Metro Vancouver, Howe Sound and parts of East Vancouver Island where rainfall warnings have been issued.
