February 08, 2019; 9:09 AM
This morning's surface map shows a cold front getting ready to move off the East coast. Temperatures ahead of the Front Range from the 40s in New England to the 60s In the Carolinas. Behind the front, there is a steady drop in which the temperature is in the teens in central Ohio and closer to zero in northern Illinois. Strong winds will drive the cold air east, and it will be rather gusty tomorrow along the Eastern Seaboard. Someday, however, will be much more tranquil. A weak storm from the west may spread snow across Illinois and Indiana on Sunday and over to the coast on Sunday night. A stronger storm is likely to affect the region Tuesday and Wednesday. However, it is too early to be specific about what those effects will be so stay tuned to AccuWeather.com this weekend.
