Rain spreads across the Northeast today but drier air arrives tomorrow

1. The satellite picture shows extensive cloudiness from the Gulf states to the interior of New England. Somewhat drier air is advancing eastward from the Midwest.

2. The surface pattern has several weak features. The low pressure area over the lower Great Lakes should move off the Northeast coast tomorrow and usher in drier air.
