Mostly chilly and mostly dry for a while

The weather pattern will remain favorable for chilly air to push into the Southeast for the next week, but it also looks to be a dry setup for most. The latter is a shame because most of the South can use some rain. There are some signs of the pattern changing to one favoring warmer-than-normal weather in the long range. The tropics are mainly quiet now as we approach the end of the hurricane season in the Atlantic.
